“It was about time that we had a base in Germany,” comments Ricarda Wichert, Sales Area Manager for the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) at XO CARE, on the occasion of the opening ceremony on 13th April. Especially as Germany is the largest and most important market for the Danish producer of treatment units, she explains. Berlin was chosen for the XO Studio, as the capital city is less than 3 hours of travel away from a number of key international and national locations. “In the future we will be able to provide our resellers with courses and further training on technology and marketing and can also offer promotional activities for their customers,” continues Wichert enthusiastically.
This shows that the company recognizes the importance of the German market and is able to step up its activities in Germany. The parallels between Berlin and the company provide another strategic reason for the decision to open the Studio in the city: “Berlin is dynamic and passionate about good design– just like us“, says Wichert.
As well as the range of training available in future, the Danish company is now offering some other new services. Using the colour configuration facility, dentists can now put together a bespoke unit on the website and send this to their depot. This gives them a choice of four colour combinations for the main unit, ten different shades for the covers and eleven colour options for the patient’s chair. The selected model can be viewed from three different angles, which can all be saved.
“Many of our customers use this service when they are setting up a new practice, as it allows them to coordinate their colour scheme very easily,” enthuses Ricarda Wichert. The new XO Inspiration Book is also proving to be a very helpful tool when designing a surgery. Its 16 pages show seven dental surgeries from across Germany, Denmark, the Netherlands and Switzerland. The reader is provided with a range of designs using different colour, light and material combinations and will get an insight into the latest designer furnishing trends. “As far as we are concerned, our brochure should be inspirational and we want to show the full variety of individual design options in practice,” explains Wichert. The Inspiration Book, with a choice of four different languages, can be ordered from the website by going through the main menu “About XO” and choosing the sub-menu “Order a brochure” and it can be sent by post or e-mail.
