Touch the future!

That is what XO Partner Henri Schein’s invited guests did at a spring-time event in buzzing Berlin.

Selected dental clinic owners and decision-makers had found their way to the event. ”People like to come to these regional events to physically touch and feel what all the new innovations are like”, explains Mathias Wagner, Henri Schein Sales Manager, East Germany.

And the future of dentistry quite obviously is digital.

”We already see smarter, faster and more advanced solutions; digital is going to substitute many of the processes that we know in the clinic today”, Mr. Wagner continues.

Innovative features that will radically change dentistry are for instance data in the Cloud, remote online technical support, intraoral scan and integration, 3D printing and modelling, etc.

Still today many dentists are used to make imprints to send off to a laboratory for them to do the milling. Now – and in the future – it may become more common to use the latest 3D technology to print your own aligners, provisional implants or even full dental prosthesis.

At center stage for the event was the XO FLOW unit. Certainly customers eagerly wanted to touch and feel and get a better understanding of all innovative, digital features built into the unit.

Especially the digital workflow solutions and the ability to use remote desktop software integration took visitors by surprise. Many were excited about the ability to access patient files via the cloud. Or the ability to directly the internet and choose a Netflix film to be shown right there at the screen above the patient.

Made-in-Denmark is also a design-feature that caught attention. Not least by Thomas Strange, Henry Schein Head of Technical Service in East Germany. He himself is made-in-Denmark, being brought up by a Danish mother, but long term German resident. ”I am eager to get to know the new XO FLOW unit better. Certainly all features resonnates well with all demands in the market”, says the dane.
