Exclusive training event for new XO Partner in Portugal

“Impressive!” “It’s a brand-new philosophy!” “I’ve never seen equipment of such a quality before.” That’s some of the feedback we got after a training event on the new digital XO FLOW unit for our new XO Partner in Portugal, Dentaleader.

Dentaleader is a premier dental equipment company in Portugal with locations in Lisbon and Porto. They offer a wide range of products, both consumables and equipment, and have an extensive team of technicians serving their customers across the country.

To kick-off our new collaboration Dentaleader wanted to get one of the new digital XO FLOW units on display in their Lisbon showroom. And as soon as the unit arrived, they gathered 11 technicians for a special training event.

To support the team, our Field Service Specialist, Jean-Luc Godard, flew in from Denmark to train the staff in the XO FLOW unit’s ways of working. This included a thorough introduction to the practical installation of the unit, adjustments and instrument settings, water, air, hardware, software and configuration options.

It may sound like a lot of topics for a half-day training session, but it’s quite suitable because the installation procedure is very straightforward, Jean Luc explains.

“It’s very important that the unit is placed on an even surface, but once it’s placed, you just follow the instructions. It’s almost just like doing Lego, and the unit can be set up in three to four hours.”

For most of the technicians at the training session, the innovative digital XO FLOW unit was eye-opening. Many technicians expressed great admiration for this game-changing platform solution in dentistry and the way it allows for changes in the way dental practitioners can work - compared to traditional dental units. “With the XO FLOW unit, dental practitioners get digital touch screens, little applications with videos showing how to place the patients, you can program workflows and adjust the amount of air and water. It’s just a whole new world,” says Jean Luc when asked what surprised the Dentaleader technicians the most.
