70 years of extraordinary dental solutions

1964

For us, 2021 stands out as a year colored by remarkable new XO product launches. But it also marks the 70^th anniversary of our company. It is an anniversary that we are proud and grateful to celebrate as it marks an unbroken string of innovative dental solutions starting back in 1951.

Driven by curiosity and engineering expertise, Verner Sørensen founded the D-34 Workshop seven decades ago. 50 years later, the name changed to XO CARE, and today, the Sørensen family is still heading the company with Kim Sørensen as CEO and his son Peter Sørensen as Chief Technology Officer.

The company’s philosophy remains the same as in 1951: Uncompromising quality and innovative dental solutions wrapped in minimalist, aesthetic design. This approach has resulted in a proven track record and has stood the test of time, helping us expand our services and offerings to an international customer base.

Becoming a global manufacturer
The 1950ies were the founding years for our company, laying the ground for the success Verner Sørensen met in the 1960ies when he launched the world’s first ultrasonic scaler with a rotating titanium tip. A pioneering tool that made D-34 the leading dental service provider in Denmark.

Building on Verner’s innovative approach, the company now boasts several world premiere dental solutions – most recently, the launch of the digital dental unit XO FLOW. The continued innovations have allowed us to celebrate the anniversary in a position as one of the leading dental equipment manufacturers on a global scale.

What began in Verner’s small workshop has grown into the XO CARE company as we know it today: A family-owned business headquartered in Denmark with 65 dedicated employees. Our international reach is served by our Regional Market Managers and local agents working across Europe, in close collaboration with our trusted network of XO Partners.
