IDS 2021 will have a very special status in the long history of this event. It was the first large happening in the dental world after the pandemic. Despite the fear that it would become a very local event, statistics showed us a different picture.

We did not see the crowded aisles that we are used to at IDS, but the seriousness and professional curiosity demonstrated by the many visitors to the XO stand, from a business point of view was remarkably high. Especially, the new XO FLOW caught everyone’s attention: Our stand was buzzing with excitement from dental practitioners of multiple nationalities, all wanting to see the new digital unit up-close.

Also, the Podium Talks with special guests generated a lot of attention – with the audience eagerly engaged in intimate, live discussions after years of having been confined to only online and webinar events. The interest was overwhelming and has left us humbled and grateful.

It will be interesting to see how large exhibitions like the IDS might become revised or reinvented in the future. Looking back, we are delighted by the remarkably high turn-up of guests and the high-quality engagement with our end-customers.
